An Australian tribunal has found a woman guilty of workplace bullying after she decided to unfriend one of her co-workers on Facebook. The Fair Work Commission, an Australian workplace tribunal, concluded that the decision of Lisa Bird to unfriend her colleague Rachel Roberts showed a “lack of emotional maturity” and was “indicative of unreasonable behavior.”
This decision is a stark reminder that there is a steadily encroaching global movement to legitimize “feeling hurting” as a punishable crime. This is often cited when people have the courage to speak their mind against a topic or opinion, such as gay marriage or in defense of belief systems such as Christianity, and are boldly proclaimed as public bigots and perpetrators of hate crimes through their speech. One saving grace here in America has always been the 1st Amendment, which guarantees freedom of speech and expression, but these movements are even gaining momentum here through the political correctness censorship of the extreme left.
