It really is quite sad and upsetting how the liberals see virtually everything through the lens of race, gender, and sexual orientation. Even in the wake of a tragedy, they just can’t seem to look at the situation, pray for the victims, and move on; it has to be turned into an issue related to identity politics.
Earlier this month, a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos (a Junior Hockey League team) crashed into a truck in Armley, Saskatchewan, killing sixteen people and injuring 13 others. A GoFundMe page was started for the players and their families, which astonishingly reached over $4 million in less than 48 hours. As you probably can imagine, the families were extremely grateful.
“There are no words that could express the incredible support the hockey community has seen here,” said Sylvie Kellington, whose son played for the Broncos Bantam team and who set up the GoFundMe campaign. “Thank you to everyone for your kindness and prayers, your donations, and for sharing this GoFundMe far and wide.”
You see, this is how most normal people would and should react to a tragedy like this – set differences aside, come together, and celebrate the lives of those who are no longer with us. Not Nora Loreto, though, a self-described activist, writer and musician based in Quebec who took to social media after the crash to spew her left-wing, social justice-themed propaganda.
“I’m trying to not get cynical about what is a totally devastating tragedy but the maleness, the youthfulness and the whiteness of the victims are, of course, playing a significant role,” she wrote on Twitter. In a follow-up tweet just a minute later, Loreto added, “I don’t want less for the families and survivors of this tragedy. I want justice and more for so many other grieving parents and communities.”
So, in other words, because she’s speaking on behalf of other grieving families in the name of “justice,” it’s perfectly normal and acceptable for her to be insensitive in this particular scenario. This is an absolute insult to the victims and their families, and Loreto should feel ashamed that such a remark even entered her mind. (Related: A study proves just how easily society is controlled and manipulated by identity politics).
Furthermore, you have to ask yourself: Who on earth thinks like this? What kind of a person responds to a tragedy that took the lives of 16 innocent people and, instead of saying, “this is a horrible situation and my prayers are with the families of the victims,” chooses to make an absurd comment on the gender, age and race of the kids? It’s sad, but true – liberals really do have a strange attraction to identity politics, even during times when it is highly inappropriate.
Take race, for example – the liberals love to look at the entire world using a racial lens, through which they see not American citizens, but white Americans and black Americans. This is the reason why they are constantly labeling everything under the sun as “racist” – because to them, most everything is about race in one way or another.
Back in December, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson tweeted out an entire list of 100 things that the liberals really have called “racist” in the past, which included everything from trees, to Disney movies, to milk, science, military camouflage, lucky charms, and even babies. On the surface, this list was just a lighthearted way of mocking the left for connecting race to everything, but it really did reveal something significant regarding how their minds function – that is, along the lines of identity politics, with little to no room for anything else.
