The Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax is now unraveling in spectacular fashion. The entire thing was apparently staged, just as we predicted would finally come out. Naturally, the entire Trump-hating left-wing media went along with the ploy without a scintilla of fact checking. Just the claim alone — that MAGA-hat wearing Trump supporters attacked Smollett for being black and gay — was enough for virtually every liberal media outlet to proclaim the attack happened just as Smollett had described.
Now it’s increasingly obvious the entire thing was staged. As PJ Media now reports in breaking news:
On Saturday night, Chicago Police confirmed to PJ Media that the testimonies of two black men arrested in the case of “Empire” star Jussie Smollett have flipped the story. Rather than considering Smollett the victim of an attack, it appears that police may now see him as the perpetrator of a hoax.
“The Chicago Police Department believe Empire actor Jussie Smollett staged an attack on himself last month,” reports Breitbart.com:
“Chicago Police believe Jussie Smollett paid two men to orchestrate the assault. The sources tell CNN that the two men are now cooperating fully with law enforcement,” tweeted CNN crime and justice reporter Shimon Prokupecz Saturday evening.
Earlier Saturday, Fox 32 Chicago’s Rafer Weigel, citing several police sources, reported Abimbola “Abel” and Olabinjo “Ola” Osundairo — the two Nigerian brothers arrested and later questioned by police about the alleged incident — purchased the rope found around the actor’s neck the night of the alleged attack at an ACE hardware store.
CBS Chicago’s Charlie De Mar reports at least one of the brothers bought the rope at Craft Beaver hardware store the weekend of January 25th. The rope was purchased at the direction of Smollett, De Mar, citing sources, added.
Further, the brothers were paid $3,500 before traveling to Nigeria and promised an extra $500 upon their return, according to De Mar.
Smollett, who is black and gay, has said two masked men shouting racial and anti-gay slurs and “This is MAGA country!” beat him and looped a rope around his neck early on January 29 before fleeing the scene.

Jussie Smollett has now hired a high-profile criminal defense attorney, reports The Gateway Pundit. He’s probably going to need it… (gosh, no wonder SJWs hate the police; especially when police expose their fake hate crimes.)
UPDATE: Smollett is continuing to proclaim his innocence in all this. “Lawyers for Empire actor Jussie Smollett say their client is ‘angered’ and ‘further victimized’ by accusations that he staged his own assault in Chicago last month,” reports Breitbart.com. His lawyers are painting him as “a victim of a hate crime” who is being victimized twice because people are questioning his story. Thus, he’s a double victim of racism, bigotry and homophobia.
We are waiting with great anticipation for another announcement claiming that somehow he’s a triple victim of this obvious hate crime hoax.
As media reports are now confirming, Smollett reportedly paid his two friends $3500 to stage the attack on him, and they have now turned against him, serving as witnesses for the Chicago PD’s accelerating investigation. What’s especially notable in all this is that the truth only emerged after some truly amazing police work by the Chicago PD. According to various media reports, detectives there identified Smollett’s friends on public video cameras, ran facial recognition on them, identified the men, tracked down their Lyft transport records, acquired proof of them buying the noose prop at a local hardware store, and even subpoenaed Smollett’s phone records to find out what he was covering up.

Now, it looks like Smollett is about to be charged with a multitude of crimes, starting with the filing of a false police report. His alleged use of the U.S. mail to reportedly send himself a threat letter may also involve federal prosecutors, meaning Smollett could be facing many years behind bars due to both local and federal prosecutions of his alleged crimes.
As it turns out, Smollett’s staged victimhood theater stunt wasn’t too bright to begin with. His two accomplices left a trail of evidence implicating them all, even using their own personal Lyft accounts to get a ride to the location of the staged attack. They reportedly kept the receipt of buying the wire for a noose at a local hardware store, and apparently none of the three used burner phones (throw-away mobile phones). The entire attempt to pull of a national victimhood hate crime hoax that could be used to badger Trump supporters, in retrospect, was almost cartoonish in its lack of planning and brainless execution.
It appears that Jussie Smollett tried to manufacture a hate crime to make Trump supporters look bad and most of the media not only uncritically accepted his lies as facts for weeks, but attacked those who questioned the validity of his false story.

Smollett may be a gifted actor — after all, he still cries on cue and offers a convincing performance of his own innocence — but he’s apparently not too bright when it comes to staging hate crime hoaxes. Then again, most hate crime hoaxes are pulled off by people who aren’t all that bright to begin with, especially since today’s universities spend more time teaching minority students how to be “social justice” victims rather than how to make something of themselves. Rarely do these people think their stories will be questioned, especially given the degree of minority privilege in the media, where minorities are automatically believed, no matter how outrageous their stories or allegations.
Here’s a montage of all the media hysteria that immediately followed Smollett’s claim of being attacked by racist Trump supporters:

Listen to my podcast on all this, recorded several days ago, before the recent facts confirmed the hoax nature of all this:
It seems there are more hate crime HOAXES in America than actual hate crimes. Almost everything that gets blown up by the Trump-hating Left turns out to be a hilarious hoax. Breitbart.com shares a list of 10 hate crime hoaxes from 2018 alone (and there are hundreds more…)
10. In January, it was discovered that a Muslim girl had lied to police in Toronto when she told them a man had “cut off” her hijab.
The hoax quickly gained the attention of Canadian media, as well as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who told reporters that his “heart goes out the young girl who was attacked, seemingly for her religion.” Police concluded that the incident had never occurred.
9. A Long Island woman told detectives in September that four teenagers had confronted her, yelling “Trump 2016!” and that she woke up the next morning to find her tires slashed with a note that read, “Go home.”
The woman ended up being arrested and charged for fabricating the story about the Trump-related hate crime.
8. In July, a Texas waiter shared a photo of a customer’s receipt, which had the words “we don’t tip terrorist” scrawled at the top, along with the waiter’s name “Khalil” circled.
The photo gained national media attention, the waiter was offered donations, and the framed customer was banned from the restaurant. The waiter eventually admitted that he had written the words on the receipt, and that his story was made-up.
7. An Ohio University student told police that she had received homophobic death threats. The student ended up being charged with three counts of “making false alarms” after it was discovered by police that she had sent the death threats to herself.
6. A high school marching band in Georgia decided to display a racial slur during one of their performances. After conducting an investigation, the school’s principal announced that the incident was a hoax.
5. One day before the midterm elections, a black freshman at Kansas State tweeted an image of a racist note attached to his apartment door. In his tweet, the student stated that this “blatant racism” should serve as a reminder that “everyone needs to get out and vote.”
The tweet has since been deleted, and the student later admitted to police that he had created and posted the note to his own door.
4. A waitress at a restaurant in Texas wrote a racial slur against Hispanics on a receipt, claiming that a local law enforcement employee had written it and directed it toward her. The waitress later admitted to the County Sheriff that she herself had written the racist comment.
3. In November, several racist notes surfaced at Drake University, which spurred an investigation, protests, and campus-wide concern for nearly an entire month.
A student who had received one of the notes later admitted to being the one who sent the notes to herself and others. She ended up facing charges and possible expulsion.
2. Chipotle fired one of its managers in November, after a user on Twitter shared a video, accusing her of refusing to serve black customers due to the color of their skin.
It turned out that the manager had been a victim of a race hoax, and had refused the customers due to their known habit of “dining and dashing.” Chipotle has since offered the manager her job back.
1. During the October Kavanaugh hearings, a woman decided to insert herself into the elaborate and infamous watch trial, by writing a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, accusing Brett Kavanaugh of rape.
The woman later admitted that her letter was a hoax, and that she had never met Kavanaugh.
