Roger Stone, a veteran of eight national presidential campaigns, shared details on why he fired Governor John Kasich from the 1976 Reagan Campaign.
Just recently, Kasich gave his opinion on legalizing marijuana, saying that he was opposed to it because it sent the wrong signal to young people. In calling the governor out on his alleged hypocrisy, Stone, in an interview with Talk Network’s Gary Franchi, said that he fired Kasich several years ago precisely because the latter was caught selling pot to other field men.
In the interview, Stone attested to the veracity of his claims, saying, “My memory is absolutely crystal clear that I am correct about this… I guess he doesn’t want some kind of firestorm, but people should be what they really are, they shouldn’t claim to be something that they are not. I think voters see through phoniness in politics easier than anything else.”
To learn more about Stone, his statements on Kasich’s alleged lie and a preview of his new book about the Clintons, watch his interview on Talk Network.
