After the tragic terrorist attack in Orlando this past weekend, the Regressive Left’s absurd attempt to destroy the Second Amendment continues, and now it involves the Department of Homeland Security.
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson stated on Tuesday, in an interview with CBS This Morning, that the American people “have to face the fact that meaningful gun control has to be a part of homeland security.”
Johnson went on to say, “We’re going to continue to build bridges to American-Muslim communities, not vilify them and drive them into the corners and shadows.” Once again, a cowardly liberal who refuses to acknowledge this situation for what it actually is has found a way to blame a terrorist attack on everything except the radicalized religion whose beliefs directly supported the violent act. This behavior isn’t even surprising anymore.
According to Johnson, “We need to do something to minimize the opportunity for terrorists to get a gun in this country.”
Oddly enough, Orlando shooter Omar Mateen — the Islamic terrorist who spurred this conversation in the first place — had ties to the Department of Homeland Security. Maybe if people like Jeh Johnson were more attentive at their own jobs, details like that wouldn’t have slipped through the cracks.
Instead, incompetent leftists will continue to push their anti-gun agenda in a pitiful attempt to avoid addressing the real problem in this country: mass Muslim immigration and the continued indoctrination of radicals.
Law-abiding gun owners are not a threat to national security. Historically, they’ve proven to be the exact opposite: a valuable resource in the fight for national security and the safety of the American people. Sadly, things aren’t looking good for those of us who proudly put our Second Amendment rights to good use.
It’s time for us libertarians and conservatives to loudly make our voices heard; to stand up to this attempted form of tyranny and defend the United States Constitution.
